01-FACTS

Territorial or Agressive Behavior vs. Mating Behavior.

This robust species is best housed with other robust species such as Central American cichlids, Tetras, and even Barbs. However, I have successfully housed Angel Fish, so these fish do pair well with a passive species fish. My suggestion is to make sure when introducing any fish to your waters, you first acclimate them and second prepare their own space in the tank. These fish are quite personable and will act out without their own hide or place to reside while in the tank.
If agression pursues at any level that seems uncomfortable to the fish seperation is adviced, typically seperating both perp and victim and reintroducing to the tank together relieves any territorial disputes.

02-FACTS

The beginning stages.

After about 3-5 days the eggs you see typically on a wall or surfaced area will hatch, what you may see is what I call the "Wiggler Stage." At this stage the fry are feeding off of their ewgg yolk and after this will begin to feed off of the particals in the established tank.

03-FACTS
